Low-Gear preventive Torque Limit

Sound familiar? You tuned your Alfa Romeo Stelvio or Giulia Quadrifoglio, hit the gas in D or N mode, and the car suddenly feels sluggish? Previously, the only way to experience full power was to risk switching to Race mode, which completely disables safety systems.

What is the cause?

Even minor wheelspin (over a wet manhole cover or a puddle) causes the electronics to hard-cut torque for several minutes. On manual transmission versions, this limit chokes acceleration in 1st and 2nd gears, while on automatic transmission versions, it restricts 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears in D mode! Acceleration only returns to normal from around 100 km/h.

As a result, even when you get onto dry pavement and want to execute a quick overtake in lower gears, instead of a fiery 1000 Nm, you get a dull 400 Nm. It feels as if the car enters limp mode. While full power is always available in Race mode, driving without a safety net on public roads is an unjustified risk.

How Did We Rewrite the Rules of the Game?

Back in January, 2024, we were the first on the market to announce: the problem is not in the transmission control module (TCM), as everyone else thought! Using our proprietary advanced data logger, we proved that the engine is throttled directly by the Brake System Module (BSM/ESC).

While competitors are just “discovering” this in 2025 and claiming preventive torque limitations can’t be bypassed via software, we’re already doing it for our clients!

How Did We Transform the Quadrifoglio into a True Supercar?

  • In-House Flasher: Safe BSM writing via the standard OBDII port or direct connection to the BSM module.
  • Checksum Algorithm: We fully decrypted the protection algorithms so the module recognizes modified software as original.
  • Custom High-Resolution Data Logger: Without this, the task would be impossible. We developed unique software to gain full access to hidden BSM memory areas.
  • CAN-Bus Reverse Engineering: We surgically decoded the internal communication language between the BSM and the Engine Control Module (ECM).
  • Final Hack: We located and neutralized the hidden torque limiter that had been choking your engine for years.

Important: No “can-bus filters” or bypass trickers work here! Attempting to block BSM signals immediately triggers a “Torque Calculation Error” and makes stability systems go haywire. Our software solution is the only correct and safe one in the world.
