The Individual Security Code consists of 8 hexadecimal (0-9A-F) that need to be entered into TuningHost app. This means there are 4,294,967,296 unique codes in the range from 00000000 to FFFFFFFF.

Without this code, switching any modes is impossible. This ensures that only those who know the code can change modes, including deactivating the Antitheft mode. The app and code can be used on an unlimited number of mobile devices.

The security code is provided to the customer by Multimap as a QR code and hex values, which need to be scanned or manually entered (case-insensitive) once. We recommend scanning the code to avoid input errors. After this, the code will be saved on the mobile device. Once successfully connected to a vehicle, the security code will be linked to the VIN or firmware number, allowing the app to work with multiple vehicles. If you have two or more cars equipped with our Multimap solution, you only need to insert the security codes once. The app will then read the VIN and automatically select the corresponding code.

If someone attempts to guess the code, they will encounter anti-brute-force protection. After five incorrect attempts, the ignition must be turned off for 30–60 seconds before trying again.

When the app is updated, the code is not deleted, and re-entry is not required. However, if the app is uninstalled, the code will also be removed from the mobile device.

We recommend saving the security code, for example, in the cloud, so you can always scan it again if needed.
