Available algorithm for verification and correction of the checksum in Bosch MED17/EDC17 electronic control units in the PFLASH and DFLASH (EEPROM) memory areas.
- Many flashers incorrectly calculate the 16-bit checksum in certain software versions when additional code has been patched. In particular, CMD and PCM Flash have this issue, Autotuner does not calculate CRC in full files at all. WinOLS calculates it correctly.
- Checksum calculation for certain software versions that include multiple calibration areas (CAL) is also available. WinOLS and many flashers do not calculate such a checksum for the monitoring area. PCM Flash does.
